Shaun The Sheep Auction

October 17, 2015

'Dolly' sells for £8,500 at the Shaun  in the City auction hosted by acclaimed Sotheby’s auctioneer Tim Wonnacott on the 8th October.  The event saw 120 Shaun the Sheep sculptures designed by artists, celebrities and  designers raise a whopping £1,087,900 for The Grand Appeal and Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity to support sick children across the UK. Previously the sculptures had been on display across London and Bristol as part of the Shaun in the City public art trails.

My design was inspired by the texture and volume of Shaun’s fleece as well as his colourful character. The fleece was covered in 16,500 glass droplets which resembled smarties and the face and legs in thousands of classic black mosaic tiles with a pop of vibrant orange.
