This month sees me exhibiting at one of my favourite galleries in Nottingham - the Focus Gallery on Derby Road owned by the fabulous Antonia Disney. The exhibition runs from July 27th through to September 8th and I will be taking up the spot on the featured wall.
I can't let this opportunity go by without creating some new work and these fresh pieces are inspired by the rich heritage of mosaics and vibrant art scene of Barcelona. I love to work freehand, creating a sense of movement in my work and have really enjoyed bringing in some vibrant colours - rich reds, bright oranges, cobalt blue and a splash of gold! These are featured in bespoke handmade frames which give the work stand out appeal.
Other work includes 'Under the microscope' inspired by my love of nature and texture. I have brought in a range of exciting materials to give the work a sense of depth - glass, porcelain, marble, slate and beach weathered stone. This contemporary work is designed to sit firm to the wall and the muted colour tones in blues, teals and greys would work well with any interior.
I am exhibiting 14 pieces all together so would love you to go take a look over the summer. Please check the website for opening hours
